Was the art contest open to all Midland ISD students?
- The Art Contest was for teens in Midland so we did the JR.Highs and High schools. There were asked to draw or express how they find hope in tough situations. We had about 60 Entries total from Goddard, S.J., Lee Freshmand and Midalnd Freshman.
- Though Debbie was the main confernce speaker, we had panelist come and talk about why there are seeing teens in Crisis in Midland TX. We had Amanda Britton Speaking on Trauma from Juvenile Justice, Lisa Platner from Texas Tech Physicians talking about teen pregnancy, STDs, ect. We had Judge Peeler of Midland County talking about incarceration and recidivism, and we had Ashley Hoppman from Palmer Drug and Alcohol Prevention talk about trends with drugs and Alcohol.
